You will be amazed with the academic excellence that exists in our schools. Madison offers a stimulating academic experience and encourages high achievement through a wide range of programs to fulfill the academic and social needs of all students.
The Madison School District is located in the heart of central Phoenix, and is now open to all Arizona’s students, including those who live outside the district boundaries. We have become a district of choice for valley parents. In fact, over 40% of our student population lives outside of the district.
Madison serves grades K-8 and offers a host of programs and services to meet your child’s individual needs. Preschool classes and before and after school programs are also available.
See for yourself what makes Madison so amazing.
Here are just a few of the programs Madison has to offer:
Madison’s Early Childhood Program, for students ages 3-5, promotes an active learning environment where our students engage in activities that foster developmentally important skills and abilities. Half and full day sessions are available at each of our elementary schools.
Full Day Kindergarten
To further expand early learning opportunities, Madison offers Full Day Kindergarten at all of our elementary schools.
Madison Accelerated Language Development (MALP)
For four hours each day, students who are not proficient in English participate in the MALP program. This English language immersion program consists of instruction through speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary lessons. MALP teachers are highly qualified and have an English language development endorsement. Most English language learners stay in the program for two years unless they test out early.
Madison offers enriched and accelerated instructional services for qualified gifted students in Grades K-8. For highly gifted students in Grades 1-8, Madison also offers the REACH center with self-contained classrooms located at Madison Camelview and Madison Park.
Before and After School Programs
The Madison Adventure Club provides safe, affordable before and after school care in Grades K-8. These quality programs support engaged learning and increased academic achievement. Qualified families may be eligible for tuition assistance
Bus transportation is offered free of charge to students attending their neighborhood school. Students not attending their neighborhood school may utilize any of the school’s existing stops at no charge by making arrangements with Madison’s Transportation Department. Satellite stops are also available to our high traffic schools.
National Junior Honor Society
All three Madison middle schools participate in the national program that recognizes students for excellence in scholarship, leadership, community service, and character.
After School Sports Programs
Madison schools offer a number of after school athletic programs for boys and girls including: basketball, baseball, cheer, soccer and cross-country.
General Enrollment Information
The Madison School District accepts applications at all times of the year, and students may begin or transfer in at any time. Enrollment applications are located in each school office.
For students that are transferring from another school, Madison will request records from the previous school once registration is completed.
Students must meet state age and health requirements. Arizona law requires that students must provide verification that immunizations have been completed before starting school. Each student’s immunization records remain in the school system once enrolled. Each time the child receives another immunization, the health file should be updated. View the state’s Immunization Guide for more information.
We encourage you to visit our schools to determine which one is right for your child. Please contact the school of your choice to schedule a tour.
