The 2020-2021 school year will begin online this year! All students will participate in online learning that is structured and has been scheduled to mirror the school day. Students will participate in live instruction as well as independent work. During the school day, students will learn core content areas and participate in electives and signature programs.
Last spring, the District provided learning opportunities. We want to reassure parents that online learning this fall will be completely different. The school day is structured with live instruction, attendance will be taken and students will receive grades on assignments.
Madison Social Workers have been working diligently to develop content that addresses social and emotional wellness. We also understand that students need time to take a break from the computer. During the day, students will have breaks from live instruction, lunch breaks and independent study time to provide the opportunity to step away from the computer.
Students will use the online learning platform, Schoology, to complete their learning. Teachers will be trained in this application and schools will provide support to families who need assistance.
The District will also be providing technology for all students. Your child’s school will be communicating information regarding Chromebook and hotspot distribution.
Additional information is coming soon. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work diligently to deliver an exceptional educational experience online.
