On-Site Online Learning FAQ
Please note: Only students who are registered for onsite online learning can attend.
What is On-site Online Learning?
In accordance with the Executive Order issued by Governor Ducey, 2020-51 Arizona: Open for Learning, Madison District will be providing onsite online learning support.
The on-site online learning option, per the Governor’s Executive Order, will be available to meet the needs of students who qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch, or students who receive Special Education Services, or students who are English Language Learners (ELL), or students in the care of the Department of Child Safety.
Onsite online learning will provide supervised workspace with access to internet services for students.
Onsite online learning is not a typical school environment and will not include in-person instruction by a certified teacher. Students will be provided workspace and will connect to their classroom teacher through their Google Classroom and/or Schoology for distance learning.
Students with qualifying services will be contacted by Madison Student Services to arrange onsite online learning.
Will Before/After School Hours Care (MAC) be available?
With limited staff members available, and in alignment with health mitigation strategies, it is highly recommended that students only stay on campus for the amount of time necessary to complete online coursework.
The MAC program will be available before and after school for middle school students and for Madison Traditional Academy students.
The MAC program will be available after school for elementary school students.
Information for the MAC program, including the fees, is available here.
Is daily on-site attendance required?
Students are not required to attend on-site every day. The on-site online learning opportunity provides a safe workspace, as needed. School attendance will be recorded by the classroom teacher.
Students will be required to stay until dismissal, unless signed out by a parent/authorized adult. Students using district transportation will not need to be signed in/out by a parent/authorized adult.
Reporting Illness
If a student becomes sick with COVID-19 symptoms or reports a positive COVID-19 test please immediately report this situation to your school principal. Confidentiality will be maintained to the greatest extent possible.

- Students may bring their own meals. Outside food cannot be delivered.
