3-8 Science Curriculum Resource Adoption Committee

Madison School District is seeking to adopt a comprehensive 3-8 grade science curriculum. A committee has been established to recommend curriculum resources that promote scientific literacy and equip students to meet or exceed grade-level proficiency standards, preparing them for success in secondary and post-secondary academic pursuits.

The Adoption Committee will evaluate available programs for alignment with the Arizona Science Standards, the quality and coherence of instructional support, the scope and sequence of content, and demonstrated effectiveness in advancing student learning. The review process will also consider the rigor and variety of assessments, the breadth of instructional materials available for differentiation, and the overall accessibility and usability of resources for both teachers and students.

60 Day Community Review

The 3-8 Grade Science Curriculum Adoption 60-Day Community Review runs from January 6 to March 7, 2026.

During this time, families, staff, and community members are invited to review the two proposed curriculum resource options and provide feedback to guide the final selection.

The Madison School District Board Room is located at 5601 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016. The District Office is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on days when school is in session.
