  • Madison Camelview Elementary

Madison Camelview Elementary School Madison Camelview Elementary, home of the Cubs, is a top-rated school serving preschool through 4th grade and in 2018 was named an A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation. In 2018-2019, Camelview launched a new STEAM program focus. Through its STEAM program, students gain experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics above and beyond what they gain in the regular classroom.

Hands-on activities are structured cooperatively to build up the innovating skills to keep children engaged. Professionals and engineers come from the community regularly to visit and help teach skills such as how to build wind-turbines. Other activities range from making catapults to learning how to code. Camelview STEAM Nights are held to support families in teaching young minds of all ages the joy of discovery through a Maker-space where children can build straw rockets, rubber band cars, balloon-powered race cars and more. It also serves as an opportunity for Camelview students to demonstrate what they have learned.
