ParentSquare Information

Welcome to ParentSquare

Madison School District excited to announce that we will be adopting a new school-to-home communication tool called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater connection with your child's school. It provides a unified and consistent way for teachers, staff, parents, school principals, and district leaders to:

  • Send and receive school, class, and district information
  • Share pictures and files
  • See calendar items
  • Sign up to volunteer
  • Schedule parent-teacher conferences
  • and much more . . . all in one centralized place! 

All district and school, grade level and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices). 
 
Have questions? When logged into ParentSquare, click the question mark in the top right corner of the desktop version or the Help tab on the app (tap the triple bar icon at the top left) to find answers to most of your questions. For school specific questions, please contact your child's school.

Pilot Program

Madison Camelview, Heights, Park and No. 1 will be participating in the district's initial pilot of the program. The remaining schools will launch ParentSquare following the pilot.

During the initial phase of the program, ParentSquare will be used for school office and district level communication, with individual classroom communication to follow.

  1. Open the invitation email or text. Click Activate your account or tap the link to activate your account.
  2. Create a Password for your ParentSquare account and click Register.
  3. Click Confirm for your phone number and/or email. A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number.
  4. Enter the verification code to confirm.
  5. Confirm your child(ren) by clicking Confirm. Use Not My Child if a child listed is not associated with your account.
  6. Select Yes, This is Me when you have confirmed your contact information and child(ren) associated with your account. Name misspelled? Wrong email or phone number? Missing a child on your account? Contact your child’s school to get this information updated.
  7. Once you are logged in to ParentSquare, you will be able to access self-paced training modules, video resources and help articles to assist you with using ParentSquare. Click "?" (Help) for help or your school contact information. Select Help Articles to learn how to use ParentSquare.

  1. Activate Your Account - Click the link in your activation email/text, or sign up on parentsquare.com or via the ParentSquare app.
  2. Download App - It’s easy to stay in the loop with the ParentSquare app. Download it now for iOS or Android devices.
  3. Set Preferences - Click your name in the top right to set your notification and language preferences.
  4. Get Photos & Files - Click ‘Photos & Files’ in sidebar to access pictures, forms, and documents that have been shared with you.
  5. Appreciate Posts - Click ‘Appreciate’ in your email/app or website to thank a teacher or staff member for a post.
  6. Comment or Reply - Click ‘Comment’ in app or website to privately ask a question about the post that your teacher or school sent.
  7. Participate - Click ‘Sign Ups & RSVPs’ in the sidebar to see available opportunities. Click bell on top to check your commitments.

  8. Join a Group - Click ‘Groups’ in the sidebar to join a group or committee at your school to participate or to stay up-to-date.

  9. Find People - Click "Directory" in the sidebar to find contact information for school staff.

  10. Get in Touch - Click "Messages" in the sidebar to privately get in touch with staff and teachers.

Opt-Out

Within your account preferences, you can customize they types and frequency of notifications your receive from us through ParentSquare.

To opt-out of:

  • Emails: Click the Unsubscribe link in any email you receive
  • Text Messages: Click the Opt-Out link in the first text message you receive from ParentSquare. You can also reply STOP to any subsequent text you receive. Phone Calls: Contact us at 602-664-7900

If you are not a parent or guardian and are receiving notifications in error, please contact us at 602-664-7900

*Note that even if you opt-out of receiving communication, you will still receive notifications for emergencies and other school information deemed important, such as attendance and lunch balances.
