Programs and Services

Based on recommendations from the evaluation team, a variety of programs and services are possible.

The alternatives include:

  1. No special education services – The student would remain in the regular classroom.
  2. In class with supplementary instructional services – The student would remain in the regular classroom and receive supplementary instructional services as appropriate or have materials provided by a specialist.
  3. Resource Programs – The student remains in the regular classroom for part of the day and is also scheduled for specialized instruction with a special education teacher for a period of time.
  4. Self-contained Programs – The student may benefit based on his/her needs and the IEP goals to spend a majority of the day with a special education teacher
