Welcome to Food & Nutrition Services

Welcome to Food & Nutrition Services. Our skilled and friendly staff is here to serve you. Breakfast is served 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the school day. All meals include healthy grains, lean proteins, a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, and choice of nonfat white or flavored milk.

Below you will find information about school meals, payments and financial assistance, food and nutrition policies, and ways to get involved. If you don’t see what you need, feel free to contact us!

In order to practice social distancing and to keep our students, parents and staff safe, we have made the decision to implement a cashless meal service. We will no longer be accepting cash payments during the breakfast and lunch meal service.

Free Bulk Food Bags for Children 18 and Younger Program

All At-Home Online learners and all community children are also able to participate in our free bulk food bag program located at Madison No. 1 Middle School. This is another option that is available instead of participating in the free meal bundles program. All meals are free to all children 18 years of age and younger until September 30, 2021, regardless of eligibility or financial status. Children do not have to be enrolled in a Madison school to receive a free bulk food bag. We encourage all children to utilize this free program to help financially support our staff and department costs. Families can pick up bulk food bags without their child present.

Beginning 3/3/21, food bags will include 7 days' worth of food in bulk amounts (breakfast, lunch, dinner, & snack). These food bags would also include optional fun nutrition enrichment activities and suggested menu ideas for utilizing the bulk items. Pre-orders are required for picking up bulk food bags. All meals until September 30, 2021, are free to any child 18 years of age and younger. This legislation was passed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This is due to the commitment that USDA has made to ensure that all children across America have access to nutritious food as the nation recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. In conjunction with the federal USDA, the State's own Arizona Department of Education (ADE) is able to reimburse a portion of the cost for every free meal served during this time frame for our school district. For more information, please see the USDA press release here: https://www.usda.gov/media/press-releases/2020/10/09/trump-administration-extends-free-meals-kids-entire-school-year. We welcome all children to participate in this program so that our department can continue to be successful. Additionally, we encourage our families to pay off any remaining balances accrued on their student's school meal accounts at this time. We ask that these remaining balance payments are done via cashless methods to ensure the safety for our staff. Payment can be made through check payment made out to Madison Food & Nutrition Services or online through our Titan Family Portal system https://family.titank12.com/. If you would like to donate an amount to help lower remaining meal account balances for other children in our District, please select the Feed it Forward option when making payments through the Titan Family Portal system. Thank you for your continued support of our program.

"Feed it Forward" and Help Madison Students

Did you know? Titan offers a “Feed it Forward” account which allows families to add an additional amount to their meal account payment to help provide meals to children.
This will allow Madison to collect donations into a school account and use the funds to help students purchase meals.

Thank you for supporting Madison students!
