9/9/2020 - Hybrid Opening of School Update

Posted by Madison Communications on 9/9/2020

Hello Madison Families,

  • Madison schools are set to open on October 12, 2020 with the hybrid model of instruction as long as there is not a dramatic increase in the spread of COVID-19.
  • Schools will open with the hybrid learning model of instruction: some students learning in-person at school and some students learning at-home online through December.
  • Schools will not open before October 12, 2020.
  • Each week, the Governing Board will meet to review the most recent city data via the Maricopa County Department of Public Health dashboard.
  • Families who wish to keep their children learning at-home online through December should complete the Google Form by this Friday, September 11. Click the following link to complete the Google Form: https://forms.gle/Li4FrrdH5bczsXXu5
  • The Madison School District encourages all students, families and employees to be tested for COVID-19 at Madison Park on either September 12 or September 19. Testing is completely free. Click here for more information and to schedule an appointment.

Madison employees will continue to work diligently on hybrid learning plans. Schools will communicate site-specific information as soon as possible.

When schools open with the hybrid model of instruction, each site will follow the District’s School Opening Plan (Mitigation Plan). Click here to read the document.

Thank you for your continued patience. We look forward to providing a high quality hybrid learning model for Madison students.
